I just finished listening to the audio version of this book and I am left hanging with sadness, a somber feeling upon realizing that my Kristin nights had come to an end.

Her lively voice had kept me company for the past nights. She narrates her own laugh-out-loud book, sharing her journey from Oklahoma beauty queen to Broadway leading lady, reflecting on how faith and family have kept her grounded in the dysfunctional rodeo of show biz.
As she made her curtain call, I didn’t want it to end. Yes, it was that good.
I first saw her in Pushing Daisies as waitress Olive Snook.

Then in Glee as April Rhodes.

Only recently did I discover that she is the voice behind the Charlie Brown song, ”My New Philosophy”. When my brother asked me to listen to this song years ago, I loved it so much, I memorized it.
A good old friend also shared me a link to her 2001 TV series Kristin, which was cancelled after a few episodes. In her book she humorously divulges how they cancelled the show because they didn’t think Kristin Yancey (the character she played) could exist in real life, funny because it was a semi-bio inspired by her life.

I still have to watch her in The West Wing.
Back to the book. A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages is a wonderful collection of catchy stories filled with wisdom, wit and contradictions. The little girl with the big voice gives us a backstage tour of theater and Christian life. The book spent 2 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller List.
Read (or listen to the audio), I guarantee you will giggle.
When I met my husband, my long-time fascination with Derek Ramsay evaporated in thin air, just like that. An hour ago, I accidentally clicked on this:
I’m not surprised. Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point is one amazing place. It’s a huge project and they are still in the early phase, so I know that eventually it’s gonna be a national (then international) sensation.
I’m just happy my movie in this location is titled, The Only Woman, with no jetski and bikini shots (cringe for mushiness).

”You must know, surely, you must know it was all for you…. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.”
I don’t want you to make the same mistake I did. I know how much you want to get revenge on Lex and who could blame you? I have felt that exact same rage.
He didn’t implant a microchip into your brain.
All that anger will lead you down a long tunnel that you will never find your way out of. You are an amazing woman, Tess. But it’s hard to see when you’re stuck in the dark shadow of an even darker man.
