I am one with all the Filipinos around the world clamoring for the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) to be abolished. But until this piece of paper is mandatory for us to exit our country and go back to work, let us do this the easiest way we can.
Now you can get and pay for your OEC Online. Anywhere. Anytime.
I have used this online service 5 times during my trips home (2014-2015) and I strongly recommend you use it as well, providing you meet the criteria:
| OFWs on vacation returning to the same employer/principal and jobsite |
| with existing employment visa / work permit |
| have a record in the POEA database |
| previously issued OEC/E-Receipt under the same employer/principal |
If you do not meet the above criteria, you will be redirected to the BM APPOINTMENT PAGE for regular processing of OEC’s on your chosen date, time and processing site. I suggest you book your appointment online as well as this will make life way easier.
Balik-ManggagawaOnline Processing System
1. Create your account even before you fly. Go to https://www.bmonline.ph/ and register as a new user.
2. Fill in all details making sure all information is correct. You can upload your ID photo which will show on your OEC copy. You can also add your cover photo, which I did because I’m cool like that. Haha.
3. Enter your expected flight schedule. The OEC validity is 60 days so make sure you’re flying out within that period.
4. Confirm that you are returning to your employer. If not, then you have to set an appointment.
5. Choose your mode of payment.
Option 1: BANKS over-the-counter
Option 2: BANKS online
Option 3: NON-BANKS over-the-counter
Option 4: G CASH
For me, I find SM the most convenient choice as I can do a lot of other errands after I pay for my OEC.
6. Send the payment instructions to your email.
7. The email will come within a few minutes. Read instructions carefully. It will tell you when you are supposed to complete your payment. Note that the payment will only reflect the next day, so apply and pay at least 1-2 days ahead of your trip.
8. Print the email and pay in any SM Payment Counter – where normal bills are paid. Go early in the morning on a weekday to save time.
9. The next day, you will receive your payment confirmation.
10. A few more minutes and you will receive your OEC copy. Print 3 copies and off you go!
If you do not not receive your copy thru email, you can always go back to your online account and retrieve the copy from “My transactions” section.
Note: You still have to pay for your OWWA, PAG-IBIG and PHIL HEALTH.
Avoid the mob drama and exhaustion of applying onsite for your OEC and make the digital world work for you. Let’s still hope that they get rid of these useless document though!

Hi usually kapag blocked ang site, hindi sya sa website may problema pero sa country kung saan kayo ngoopen ng internet. Pero kung na-oopen nyo naman po ang site at may error after, it means you did not meet the qualification. Paiba-iba po kasi ng rules, so ok din na magGoogle po kayo ulit how to do it. I hope you will be able to register soon 🙂

Kumuha po ako ngayon ng oec thru bmonline.. Bakit po ang validity for exit is up to june 24, 2016 only. Akala ko po 6 months ang validity non. Eh july 1, 2016 pa po ang uwi ko ng pilipinas. Magagamit ko pa ba yong oec na kinuha ko po ngayong araw na to? Paki sagot naman po. Salamat.

i already made an account but after clicking the option to set an appointment.. no window will appear to set… so what will be the next step after signing up? i have watch an instructional video… my computer is giving me less options like there is no next step.. i want to set an appointment because its showing no record after entering my OEC number or passport number… i am returning to same employer. thanks

We are four girls, 3 exabroad and one first timer.
We are hired directly as a cleaner by a freezone company in ajman,uae.
But to exit Philippines we need the employment visa and documents to be certified by the POEA in abudhabi so we can apply for OEC in Philippines.
That freezone company says that they don’t know about poea and they never did it before for other cleaners.
So please guide me about the POEA charges and process and time taken to process it in Philippines embassy in abudhabi so I can tell the company to do it for me.
And after getting those certified documents after poea, can I apply online for OEC to get it fast.

Kindly help me, i applied for an eoc and had an appiontment last Jan 5, 2016. Unfortunately upon paying the oec Ive notice some that if it exceeds 60 days bfre departure I should apply for another oec. However its not refundable. My departure is on March 9. My first oec will expire on March 6. I re applied for new oec so that the expiration will be on april. So last Feb 1 I applied online and paid it last Feb 8. I took 1 week and until now no oec number . Its still pending till now.. kindly assist me .. thank you

Q: What is an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)?
A: It serves as a proof that you are a documented OFW who is allowed to exit the Philippines to fulfill job contracts overseas. It is also a clearance/certificate that proves that your exit or departure to the Philippines is valid since you are returning to an employer abroad.
The OEC serves for the following purposes:
it serves as an exit pass for OFWs at the airport
it exempts you from paying travel tax and airport terminal fee
It assures that a worker is covered by government protection, benefits and assistance.
Processing Fee: PhP 100
You may visit POEA Ortigas or any regional offices (poea.gov.ph for the list and location of offices) or call 7219496; 7210785 for assistance / queries on BM Online

as per d2 sa phil embassy abu dhabi meron daw ibang certificate for those na nakahusbands visa na equivalent ng OEC. try to call the phil embassy in dubai.

I am sponsoring my niece for a visit in Abu Dhabi. The Immigration Officer asked for the OEC in addition to the affidavit of support and salary certificate. Is it possible to obtain an OEC even if I’m not flying back to our country? Can I present the flight booking of my niece instead to get the OEC?

Hi there Lisa, why do they need an oec? Ur niece is travelling as a tourist. OECs are for ofws only who flew home amd want to return to their country of employment. You can fight back and tell this to the immigration officer. I have sponsored all my family as tourists in abu dhabi, back and forth and an OEC was never needed as i did not leave the country.

hi there! pahelp namn. nagtry ako nito kaso ang problema nung una kong log in ay naclick ko ang set appointment at nacomplete ko ang details thinking na lalabas ang payment options sa nxt step. kahit anong gawin ko puro talaga paset ng appointments ang next step. gusto ko pa namn na mgbayad through dragon pay since sa exchange ako ngwork. ano ang gagawin ko? may chance paba na makapagbayad ako online? o need ko na talaga set ng appointments? salamat. sana may sasagot.

Hi Linfa, double check mo ung requirements and eligibility to pay online… Baka meron sa field ung nasagot mo na hindi applicable for online payment kaya its giving u ‘set an appointment’.

I think for the 1st time you need an appointment online to obtain an OEC then for succeeding OECs you can pay online and print yourself yan ang sabi sakin nung una akong kumuha ng OEC gamit ang bmonline.
