Through Shellah, I made new friends with a family during the Rotorua Night Market. They invited us over for lunch the next day.

Little did I know that my cute little friend here has a mansion for a home!

The glass house is overlooking the wide peaceful Rotorua Lake.

I walked in and instantly noticed how stylish yet comfortable the living room was.You don’t need decorations in a house like this. The whole place has the endless blue lake as its painting.

Even the kitchen has a dramatic view of the water meeting the sky. I guess if I see this everyday I would want to cook…I love how most houses in New Zealand have huge glass windows.

They have a pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna.

The bar and entertainment den opens to the terrace and viewing deck that spans end to end of the house.

I stopped counting how many bedrooms, bathrooms and walk-in closets they had when the number exceeded the fingers on my hand. My favorite part of the house, apart from the bathroom that overlooked paradise, is the lift.
