If I were in the Philippines right now, I’d be one of the volunteers.

Gawad Kalinga has activated its Operation Walang Iwanan Mindanao, after tropical storm “Sendong” (international name: Washi) wreaked havoc in southern Philippines, unleashing mammoth floods and destroying whole neighborhoods.  Unofficial reports cite the death toll as of Sunday evening: 652 dead, with about 900 people still missing.
