My Football History Part 2
In the Ateneo, I took up FUTSAL for PE class during my first year. In coach Joel’s class I learned more of the defensive plays.
One day a classmate approached me, ”Vi, why don’t you try out for the Ateneo Training Team?” The next day I joined their practice game.

My first jersey number (From Miriam) stuck with me.

I started making new friends. I got stuck with this one. Haha.

The Ateneo High School field became the breeding ground for friendships that would go beyond games on grass.

The High School PE office was home for the team.

Very unforgettable was the day our coach came back from Indonesia with a luggage full of neon jerseys and socks just for us.

RIFA CUP 2005, my first official football game for the Ateneo.

Team lunch at Jollibee!

SEA GAMES 2005, first time the girls went out to watch a game as a team.

People thought we were Team Thailand. Some even asked to be photographed with us.

This is Coach Brax, the SUPER coach. I never would have loved football this much if it wasn’t for him. He was like a second dad to me… to all of us, that is.

Warm ups and prayers.
