My Royal Crush

Crush and tell is back.

How cliché for me to have a crush on the owner of our company.

The first time I met him I was entranced. His mere presence exudes power and wealth.  His stance displays an air of elegance and justified pride. His manner of speech shows a well-educated man.

In the few encounters with him, I observed that he does not show extreme emotions. Even in the verge of anger, he talks with calm authority. He can assess the showroom’s situation with just one swift look. Everytime he talks to me, it is with brief indulgence. He makes one feel valuable but not too important which in effect urges one to prove more of his own competence. Contrary to the stereotyped local arabs, this one is royalty wrapped in kindness.

Today he walks into our showroom.

Me and my bright smile says, good-evening, sir. He stops and gives the showroom one quick look.

”Is our website still up and running?” Referring to the one he asked me to do for one of his many companies.

”Of course, sir.”

He smiles and exits gracefully.

I stood there enthralled – like a peasant visited by her king.

    1. Why didn’t i think of that!!! *evil radar turned on!* o yeah, o yeah, endless possibilities. It’s like King Midas’ touch, but not with gold but with practical jokes. I can see it now!
