T.G.I. Fridays Abu Dhabi

When I was in the Philippines, I never had the chance to go to

The reason? It’s one of those ritzy restos my budget couldn’t afford.

I remember times when I would pass by Friday’s at the back of Robinsons going to Cainta, Rizal and wish I could dine in there.

I am so Promdi.

Anyway, the Captain and I found Friday’s here in Abu Dhabi satisfactory, that  it has become our first option for a cozy dinner.

It’s the ambiance that I like. Soft chairs, dim lights, tolerable music…

and weird artifacts.

Apart from a few service blunders and some tsismosa-looking servers, it’s all good.

Playing with his cam.

What has kept him preoccupied for the past week.

His food.

My food.

His foo… where’d it go?!

They also got a free sort-of-valet parking. Since there’s not enough parking space, they watch your car for you and move it in case you’re in the way.

Oh, I almost forgot. There’s just one very uncomfortable thing in here. Since almost all the servers are Filipinos, everytime the Captain and I walk out of the resto I know what dialogues could be happening inside. I guess I should get used to Pinoy’s speculating about me and this tall foreign guy I’m with. I wonder what stories has been cooked up about us.

I know ‘coz I used to be one of them.

But who isn’t, right?
