Project Warning: If you’re spending Christmas away from home, tears may be shed.

I printed individual shots of my immediate family, pasted them on cardboard and taped a loop of thread at the back for hanging.

My mom and dad.

My husband’s mom and dad.

My eldest brother and his wife.

My husband’s older brother and his kid.

My youngest sister and my other brother.

The rest of my family.

My husband’s niece by his sister Sarah. And of course, that big-smiled kid is the youngest Lucasi.

All those faces are on my tree and they make my quiet house crowded for now.
