Photonecdote: Student in Skirt

An anecdote is a short and amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person.

A Photonecdote is me telling a story about interesting photos I have unearthed while cleaning my hard drive. Let’s trudge down 30 GB of photos and pick out distinct ones worth relishing or bashing!

June 2005

My first week as a MIRIAM COLLEGE student. This was taken by my Canadian ”mother” (Laura Bonney) who I lived with when I started secular college.

I hated my uniform. I felt like I was back in high school with my white blouse and green skirt. The only difference is I can’t wear a backpack like I used to in high school.

My ever supportive brother (who wishes so badly that I become a lady) bought me a handbag so I won’t look stupid. This was the time when Heartstring bags were becoming popular. He chose an England design so it won’t look too girly for me.

Despite that, I find it funny how I still managed to look so high school –  note the parted flat hair, choker, overly-colored ID strap and silver thumb ring.

I am so glad college uniform days are over!
