Honestly, I didn’t know it was Earth Day celebration that night.

Last March 31, We had dinner at Radisson Blu Yas Island because it was the last day of our membership card. I wondered why they had an elaborate poolside dinner with a live band serenading the night.

Halfway through our meal a staff came to us and asked for a photo of our table. It was a marketing strategy for their Earth Day celebration. You know me, I am people-shy but I agreed to be photographed (4 times!) and video-graphed (with star-bright spotlights) because the girl said she’d be emailing us copies of our shot.

No copy ever came. Hello, Radisson Blu?

So I’ll just stick to shots from my reliable point and shoot 🙂

That night, we saw the Yas Island hotels turning off their lights for 60 minutes but within the island is also the Ferrari World entirely and radiantly lighted.

I like that Abu Dhabi is starting to be energy-conscious but it has to be a collective effort.
