But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. Philippians 3:13
PURSUING INTIMACY WITH GOD THROUGH DISCIPLINE
There is no better way to inspire you about the power of prayer than to share with you the lives of those being molded and changed by God.
TOUCH OF GLORY PRAYER MOUNTAIN
ANTIPOLO, PHILIPPINES | DECEMBER 2015
THREADS Philippines is a team of young artists from the Northern tribes of Luzon who share their passion creatively on stage.
It has been years since our last production and I haven’t seen the team since I moved to the UAE.
Last December when I flew home, I gave a shout-out to everyone for a spontaneous overnight reunion. I wasn’t expecting much since it was a last-minute invite. To my surprise, I received confirmation calls and messages all the way from Baguio, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao and Metro Manila. Sadly, the ones from Balangao couldn’t make it because travel time wasn’t sufficient.
Batch 1 arrived early in the morning. After a long night’s trip, everybody is groggy but excited!
We all headed to Antipolo’s prayer mountain.
Only our noises were heard in the quiet relaxing place.
I was holding back tears as we gathered together to catch up and share stories.
I was amazed at how grown-up they have become. They used to be kids, running around like chickens. I remember how hard it was just to gather them together in one place. I feel so old!
I missed them so much. I am teary-eyed just writing this.
The whole attic was ours for the stay.
My 2 sisters and our GoPro faces.
We stayed up late as we can waiting for batch 2 to arrive. Team Manila arrived straight from work!
We all wished the night wouldn’t end.
Good morning breakfast!
Then the stories began.
And there was laughing and crying…
What a joy to hear their testimonies, to see the fruits of prayer, to ask forgiveness and extend grace, to build bridges and reconnect lives. This is the satisfaction that no corporate job can give me.
When a believing person prays, great things happen. – James 5:16
My cousins, my allies.
Threads team was first organized in 2005 and these are members of different audition batches. 10 years later, we remain strong!
We miss the rest of the team. This is not even half of us. Imagine what it would be like to have all of us together. See you all in the next prayer reunion!
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If he had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, he’ll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and he chose your heart. – Max Lucado
