You and mama were my best teachers. At a young age, I’ve seen how people really listened to you. Your words had power and your wisdom was inspiring.
I’ve watched you study and prepare for your talks. Even when I was a kid, you made me create visual aids and you used them in front to teach others. Every time you did that, I felt loved and motivated to keep enhancing my creative skills. You brought me along and gave me minor parts in your speaking engagements.
Now that I’m older and you’re gone, I appreciate all the hours you turned into teaching moments. While crowds and congregations listened to you, you spoke the loudest to that little girl who followed you around all the time.
Speak to you again, one day soon.
