I cannot count the many nights I slept praying that I’d wake up to a different sunshine.
10 days from now, I’ll be completing my 6th year in the UAE. I know it’s nothing compared to others but for me it feels like 40 years wandering in the desert. It wasn’t aimless drifting but more of a journey in circles taking me one level up each time.
Working in the Middle East can either break you or make you. If tears evaporated in the sky, all my hurts and pains have formed these clouds around me.
But if each rock is a testament of the victories and wisdom learned through the years, I am a mountain of strength. Only by God’s grace I stand.
So while I wait for God’s green light to move out of the desert, I will walk through the valley of the shadow of death without fear but with joy in my heart.
Psalm 101:6
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless
will minister to me.
