3 TIPS TO ENJOY YOUR PARAGLIDING ADVENTURE
1. RELAX, IT’S NOT AS SCARY AS YOU THINK
In paragliding there is no free falling or jumping off cliffs. You just run or jog down a simple slope and glide away from there. The launches and landings can be smooth and gentle. The intensity of excitement depends on your pilot’s mood and skills.
Once in the air, you’ll be surprised at how serene and peaceful the experience is. You can comfortably sit in your harness and quietly watch the sunset while birds fly around you.
You can also be more adventurous and ask your pilot to do some acrobatics while you scream your heart out at the world below.
2. WEAR THE RIGHT CLOTHES
Prepare for the cold winds during the winter and avoid getting sunburned during the summer. But don’t worry, if you’re not prepared, your pilot can provide you with a flying suit.
The harness goes between your legs, so prepare for that as well.
3. DOCUMENT YOUR OWN FLIGHT
If you’re booking a tandem flight, most probably, your pilot would have a camera. But it’s wise to also bring your own. You can hold it if you’re confident enough or you can strap it on yourself.
This is to avoid being disappointed when your pilot’s camera has technical glitches, files get corrupted during transfers, or when photos won’t turn out good enough for you. It’s comforting to know you have back-up shots.
