FLY TO THE SKY
My first paragliding experience was in 2015 in Mürren, Switzerland. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve been eagerly waiting for the chance to fly again.
For this trip, a friend recommended Fly to the Sky, a paragliding group based in Seoul that offers tandem flights for locals and tourists.
Boryeong, South Korea
Our dive location for that day was in Boryeong (Daecheon), a city in South Chungcheong Province in South Korea.
Their standard rate is 100,000 KRW for the flight and videos. I was able to get a discounted price of 120 USD for 2 guests.
The pick-up point was at the Express Bus Terminal in Seoul. My reduced rate did not include the company’s private car transfer, so I rode the bus going to Boryeong instead.
I invited my new friend with me, who invited more, so the trip was happier. The travel time was more or less 2 hours.
We reached the Boryeong bus station and took a taxi to the dive site. Note: Fares to and from the site are not included in the package.
We met all the other fliers at the base of the hill, which was also our landing point. We had a short orientation before the truck took us up to the take-off point. This ride was free.
We were divided into batches and had to wait for others to finish their flights before our turn came up.
The view from up the hill was beautiful!
Coming up next is what happened during the flight.
