Every Thursday nights from 5pm to 9pm, a street in Roturua is closed off to give way to a festive community atmosphere for residents and tourists.
The Rotorua Night Market showcases ethnic cuisines, local food and home-grown produce. The night is also kept alive by local musicians, talented artist and a variety of events.
On this day, they were celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week). We were entertained by waiata (songs), kapa haka and dance performances of these delightful children.
I also got to meet a new friend!
Meet my first little Fili-gyptian friend Sen-Sen. He is sooooo adorable!
Meeting new friends made the night more memorable!I’m not so much into crowded places and social events but I like how this night market is chill and simple. It’s relaxing and welcoming to all races and color. I have to admit, I did have fun. 🙂
Ok ang night diyan. Maliwanag pa.
