Ohana in Sunshine and Rain

DAY 2

Good morning sunshine!

My coffee tastes better with one foot up.

This lady woke up so early just to prepare breakfast for us.

Rise and shine, racers!

They loved their bed.

My favorite Sinigang (tamarind-based pork stew) for brunch!

Their new dresses

Goofing with the uncle

Exploring the outdoors while the sun is up, trying out her new camera.

Trying out someone else’s camera wishing it was hers.

Guava as marbles

The guava king

Lola reading the origins of the betel leaves.

Back inside, the view from the attic.

Lola loves the UAE goodies – mamoul and Ali Tea.

Snack time!

Lazy rainy afternoon

Zion’s favorite spot while watching TV

Nikki and I discussing the future.

I am continually amazed at how smart this kid is.

Sleeping time!

Silence in the house after the kids were forced to have their afternoon nap.

The little monsters awaken!

After-sleep hunger

Their reward for sleeping –  chocolates!

Save those teeth!

Waiting for the rain to stop so they can go for a swim.

Rain, rain go away..

A Chinese proverb says a family with an old person has a living treasure of gold. Indeed, no one else loves like grandma.

‘Ohana means family – no one gets left behind, and no one is ever forgotten – Lilo & Stitch
