3 TIPS TO ENJOY YOUR STAY AT THE CAPSULE
The Capsule by Container Hotel is perfect for transit passengers or backpackers. Read my review here.
Note: Since the hotel is located in the airport’s arrival/departure area, transit passengers need to check out of immigration first. Some nationalities may need a Malaysian visa to get through immigration.
1. DO NOT EXPECT FIRST CLASS COMFORT AND SERVICE
The whole point of staying in the Capsule is to rest and recharge. Though the ambience is stylish and modern, only basic amenities and services are provided for you.
This warehouse-looking hotel is not noise-proof. Expect airport alarms, sirens and the normal hustle bustle of other guests.
On an ideal day or night (no loud-snoring or boisterous and disrespectful guests), it’s still possible to get a good sleep.
For toilet needs, a towel and a dental kit are provided. Be ready with a travel kit that can be hanged on hooks to prevent your items from getting wet. Ask for slippers at the reception.
2. PREPARE YOUR OWN FOOD AND OTHER NECESSITIES
Pre-pack a small bag that has all your needs for your stay so you don’t have to rummage through your luggage after checking in.
One locker can only fit one huge suitcase and a small bag, but reception can keep your extra luggage. Keys will be given for your locker.
A small padlock can be useful for the little storage inside your room. Unfortunately, this storage is too small for a laptop. You will have to bring your gadgets with you.To save money, bring your own instant meal or snacks and eat them at the bar. You can get hot water from the baby room outside reception. A coffee tumbler will come in handy at this time.
Food is not allowed inside the rooms. Pack some mini, non-smelly, snack bites if you’re a hungry hippo like me. The Capsule has no restaurant but you can walk around the airport and find a lot of food and café options.
3. BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR
Always be mindful of others. There are noises we cannot control (like snoring and farting), but there are things that we can be intentional about.
Walk lightly. Do not have long, loud and animated talks on your phone. Use a headphone when watching videos. Keep your voices down especially when staying as a group. Do not leave trash behind. Be friendly even if you want to be alone.
No act of kindness, no matter how small or insignificant, will ever be wasted. Enjoy your snug and comfy stay!
