Meet the pilots of Awesome Paragliding in Danyang, South Korea.

I spent a few weeks with this team and they passed my intense scrutiny of the work they do. 😅 They actually won my heart by their warmth and friendliness despite the language barrier.

MY THOUGHTS

There are hundreds of pilots in South Korea. I have flown with good and bad ones. When you book with a company, you don’t get to choose your pilot. It’s a hit or miss when it comes to the best pilots.

If you’re a foreigner, you would want a pilot who can talk to you or at least one whom you can connect with (if not verbally).

Not all companies in Danyang are foreigner-friendly. That’s why I admire the extra efforts of Awesome Paragliding to welcome visiting tourists. Some pilots can speak English and those who can’t, make ways to communicate with you.

Also, my good ol’ buddy Awesome Pilot Jason works here! He is one of the best pilots I’ve met, not because he is my friend but because I’ve seen how he works in and out of the country.

Whether it’s a good weather or a challenging wind condition, he makes every flight special for his passengers.
