April 2016 | Part 8
Apart from snorkeling, kayaking & trekking, here are a few other things you can do in the island.
Have your early morning coffee by the beach while waiting for sunrise.
Swim while the sun isn’t up yet…
Explore the underwater…
Join a ball game…
Eat local food…
Sleep like a sloth…
Buy halo-halo (crushed ice, milk & sweet ingredients) and enjoy momentary relief from the heat.
Send your sister off to buy mais con yelo from the neighboring sari-sari store, because the halo-halo won’t be enough.
Watch the birds…
Have lunch with Waling-Waling resort’s owner. They’re very down to earth and accommodating.
Take lots of photos…
Chill inside your hut…
Explore the community and befriend the locals…
Eat some more…
Lie by the beach and wait for sunset…
Swim after the sun goes down…
Tell secrets with your travel buddy…
Enjoy the sand in your feet…
And my favorite of all… exploit the quietness of the island – read and write!
